What we collect
Name, work email, organisation, role, phone (if given), what you write and any file you upload.
Why
To assess your application for this and similar roles. We keep it until you ask us to delete it, and no longer than the retention period above.
Who sees it
strategy1 staff handling your request. Our service providers, such as hosting and AI model providers, acting for us under contract. We do not sell your data.
Where
Some processing, including AI processing, may happen outside India.
How long
12 months after our last contact. Then it is deleted.
Your rights
Access, correction, completion, erasure, nomination, and withdrawal of consent, as easily as you gave it.

What does a Forward Deployed Strategist do?
A Forward Deployed Strategist at strategy1 frames the client's problem, runs the engines and works on-site with the client, in a pod with one Strategy Partner and shared ontology and AI engineers. They work with AI agents every day for research, modelling and red-teaming, and decide whether what the agents produce is good enough.
How does strategy1 hire?
In five steps. You apply with a CV and a short note on one decision you shaped. Then a 30-minute first conversation with the hiring partner, a short, paid work sample on a real-shaped problem, and a pod day to meet the people you would work with. Finally, a decision: yes or no, with reasons.
Can consultants who code work in strategy at strategy1?
Yes. The Forward Deployed Strategist role is written for a former consultant who codes or prompts fluently, and every strategist works with AI agents every day. Every number a strategist publishes has a source and a grade, and every plan says how it fails, so the job rewards people who can check what a model produces.
